So I’m sitting there scrolling through my feed and this Taurus career thing pops up. My birthday’s in May so why not click? Figured it might give me a kick to plan my work year better.
Grabbing the Basics First
Opened the horoscope page on my phone while waiting for coffee to brew. Skimmed the whole thing once standing at the kitchen counter. Noticed it kept shouting about three big things:
- That Jupiter luck – some planet moving into my work zone mid-year
- April decisions – saying I should pick projects carefully
- October money moves – like asking for raises
Made me chuckle – last October I totally chickened out asking my boss for that promotion.
Turning Hints into Real Plans
Next morning, I dug out my dusty planner. Drew boxes around April 15-30 like the horoscope suggested – that’s when it said opportunities would pop up. Scribbled “NO RUSH JOBS” in red pen after reading that Taurus folks mess up by grabbing quick cash gigs instead of strategic stuff.
Checked my calendar against the “lucky Jupiter period” – turns out it’s June 2 through late December. Blocked off every Friday afternoon during those months just for skill-building. Signed up for that coding course I’d been putting off for two years.
The Wallet Reality Check
Got to the money section where it pushed October negotiations. Pulled up my bank app and did something scary: calculated exactly how much more I need to earn to quit my side-hustles. Wrote that number on a sticky note next to October in the planner. Added a reminder: “PRINT PERFORMANCE METRICS SEPTEMBER 28” – can’t walk in empty-handed right?
Found the warning about May distractions too real. My dog’s surgery is scheduled then plus my sister’s wedding. Added extra buffer days for work deadlines that month.
Where This Led Me
Honestly? Still not sure if stars control anything. But forcing myself to plot these dates made my goals feel concrete. The April box? Already filled it with meetings for that contract job I actually want instead of taking whatever comes first. That October salary note? Still gives me sweaty palms just looking at it.
Maybe the planets do their thing. Or maybe just locking dates on paper shakes you out of autopilot. Either way – let’s see if Jupiter’s got my back come June.
